82-year-old dies in Jennings County crash

Happened near Hayden

(HAYDEN, Ind.) – A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Jennings County man on Thursday afternoon. 

The crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on U.S. 50 near County Road 700 West in Jennings County.

Investigators say 82-year-old Jerry Bridges, of Hayden, pulled onto U.S. 50 and struck by a concrete truck. 

Bridges was rushed to the hospital where he later passed away from his injuries. 

The highway was closed for nearly two hours during the crash investigation and cleanup.
