Lawrenceburg native was injured Saturday against Purdue
(SOUTH BEND, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg native and North Dame starting center Ashton Craig suffered a knee injury on Saturday.
It happened during the first half against Purdue in West Lafayette.
Notre Dame announced that Craig will undergo knee surgery and will be out the remainder of the season.
His mother, Kimberly, is thanking those locally who have reached out.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has been checking on, praying for and sending good vibes for Ashton since Saturday. We know he will work extremely hard to get back on the field as soon as possible," she said.
Ashton started for the Irish against Texas A&M, Northern Illinois and Purdue. He also started a handful of games for the team last season.
