Giesting attended Notre Dame where he set multiple school records.
(TERRE HAUTE, Ind.) -- A Batesville High School graduate will be inducted into the Indiana Track & Field Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Chris Giesting won the 400 meter dash to claim an ISHAA state championship in 2011.
Giesting also attended Notre Dame where he set multiple school records.
He was a 7-time NCAA All-American and 2016 Olympic Trials qualifier.
Also, David Williams of Batesville will also be inducted into the Track Hall of Fame. He won the state championship in the 3200m during his senior year at Evansville North. He later ran cross country at Purdue. Dave passed away earlier this month.
Giesting and Williams will be inducted into the Indiana Track & Field Hall of Fame in Terre Haute at 1 p.m. Saturday.
