(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Batesville High School's marching band is one of just 90 schools competing in a national competition this weekend.

The Bands of America Grand National Championship is known as the premiere national marching band event in the country.

It is taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis starting today through Saturday.

Out of all the competing bands, the Bulldogs were the very first band to perform during the preliminaries this morning.

Batesville is the only school in The 812's coverage area that is at the national tournament.
