Takes place on May 4
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – For the first time in history, Batesville High School Choir has reached the Indiana State School Music Association's State Concert Finals.
“This is an incredible achievement,” said Dan Borns, BCSC Choir Director. “I am really proud of how the students have performed all year, and this is a great way to cap off all of their hard work.”
Batesville is one of 16 schools to qualify and joins other top performing arts schools including Avon, Fishers, Plainfield and Carmel.
The mixed choir finals will be held this Saturday, May 4 at the Pike Performing Arts Center in Indianapolis.
Batesville performs at 7:50 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.
The State Champion will each be awarded a $1,000 “Winners Drink Milk” scholarship for one of its students, courtesy of American Dairy Association Indiana and Prairie Farms

Please drop off your items for their gift bags at the BHS Office to the attention of Missy Merkel.
The public is also invited to meet in front of the high school on Saturday, May 4 at 1245 p.m. with banners, posters, and plenty of school spirit to cheer on the students as they leave for State Finals.
