Batesville, EC golfer thrive in Richmond

Bulldogs claim team invitational

(RICHMOND, Ind.) -- Some local golfers had a strong performance to kick off the girls high school season at the Richmond Invitational on Monday.

East Central sophomore Rowan Pies was the best individual player. She won the invitational by shooting even par with a score of 71.

The Batesville Lady Bulldogs were the best overall team in the 10-team invitational.

Senior Josie Meyer led the Bulldogs with a score of 74.
