Batesville grad serves as Indiana State interim AD

Lansing graduated from BHS in 1994

(TERRE HAUTE, Ind.) – Indiana State will compete for an NIT Basketball Championship for the first time in school history tonight.

The Sycamores will face Seton Hall at 7 p.m. in Indianapolis.

Back in January, the university selected a Batesville graduate to take on the role of Interim Athletic Director.

Angie (Menser) Lansing graduated from Batesville and went on to become a standout track and field athlete at Indiana State from 1994 to 1998.

She was inducted into the Indiana State Hall of Fame in October 2014.

Lansing has 17 years of experience in ISU’s athletic department and has previously served as Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator at ISU.

During Lansing's appointment to interim athletic director, ISU President Dr. Deborah Curtis said, “Indiana State has the utmost confidence and given her experience and vision for the Sycamores; she is the ideal candidate for this position.”

Angie is the sister of Batesville basketball legend Michael Menser and the daughter of Jenny and Jim.
