Batesville man honored through new trade school scholarship

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Todd Siebert passed away at the age of 51 after a battle with ALS in 2021.


His family and friends have vowed to keep his memory alive while raising funds for others who battle the terminal disease.


A new scholarship has been established for students who wish to attend a trade school.


"One $3,500 scholarship will be awarded to an individual that lives in Franklin or Ripley County of Indiana and has similar attributes, work ethics, and morals that Todd Siebert portrayed in his life," said organizer Erin Eckerle.


It will be awarded this fall after an competitive process that includes an application, essay and proof of enrollment or acceptance into the trade school.
