(JUPITER, Fla.) – Major League Baseball players are wearing new uniforms this season and it has caused some debate during Spring Training.

The jerseys were designed by Nike and have led to some criticism from players and fans.

There have been concerns over the material, letter sizes, logos, and also being see-through.

One player who was asked about the jerseys is Batesville’s very own Bryan Hoeing.

Noah Berger, a beat writer for Fish On First which covers the Miami Marlins, asked Hoeing about his thoughts on the new uniforms.

“I would say I'm with the rest of the crowd, honestly. [The uniform] feels good so far. I think the material of it feels great—it's light, so it's not too hot when you're out in the sun. I guess the only critique I would have is the size of the name on the back, which is a little bit small compared to the number, but I actually don't have anything wrong with it,” Hoeing told Berger.

Hoeing has seen action early in Spring Training when he pitched during the Marlin's first game on Saturday.
