Batesville police investigate gas station robbery

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Investigators are seeking information following a robbery at a Batesville gas station.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Shell Station on North State Road 229, police said.

According to the Batesville Police Department, four African American men walked into the station and one of them distracted the business owner while another stole money from the business office.

The suspects are believed to be in their teens or early 20's.

Police say they were driving a silver Mazda sport utility vehicle which traveled onto I-74 Eastbound following the incident.
