Batesville Products releases second children's book

Book was written by BPI marketing associate Mary Jutzi

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Batesville Products continues to give back to the community in unique ways.

The company has released their second children’s book which gives kids insight into the foundry industry.

It was written by Mary Jutzi, who is the digital marketing associate for Batesville Products. It was illustrated by local artist Phil Ohlhaut.

The book is called ‘The Hunt for Metal Treasure’ and is about three friends who go on a pirate adventure to look for metal castings around town.

“They discover that USA manufacturing is all around us – from playgrounds and kitchens to dentist offices and construction sites. Many of the castings they find are based off real parts manufactured here in Lawrenceburg and Aurora, Indiana,” Jutzi said.

Watch: Batesville Products stopped by a local school with their first book in 2022:

Batesville Products plans to donate the book to local elementary schools and visit classrooms to teach the next generation about manufacturing.

This is a sequel to their 2022 book, Foundry Friends Make a Casting, which teaches young kids how castings are manufactured.

Batesville Products is also heavily involved in the annual 812 Day celebration on August 12. Last month, they made a surprise donation to a non-profit in Dearborn County.
