Batesville’s Grunkemeyer commits to Northwestern baseball

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Batesville senior Jack Grunkemeyer is taking his pitching talents to Evanston, Illinois.

Grunkemeyer announced his commitment to Northwestern University on Tuesday afternoon.

"I am extremely excited to announce that I will be furthering my athletic and academic career at Northwestern University. Thank you to God, my parents, my brother, my family, and past coaches who have gotten me to this point. Thank you to Coach Greenspan along with the rest of the Northwestern coaching staff for giving me this opportunity," Grunkemeyer said.

This is the second Bulldog baseball player to commit to a major program as junior Will Jaisle will play at Notre Dame.
