(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Batesville Superintendent Paul Ketcham has been appointed to Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb's Workforce Cabinet.
Ketcham will bring 25 years of education experience to the cabinet, which was created to address current and future needs for Indiana employers and individuals.
The cabinet is comprised of approximately 30 people from across the state that are business and community leaders, education leaders, lawmakers and experts from state agencies.
"I am deeply grateful for the privilege of serving on The Governor's Workforce Cabinet. This appointment is both an honor and an opportunity, and I am eager to contribute my utmost efforts in aligning resources to amplify workforce, education, and economic development," Ketcham said.
Ketcham has served as Batesville's superintendent for eight years and was previously the superintendent at Milan.
His resume includes being named a district Superintendent of the Year by the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents, the Batesville Chamber Educator of the Year, and Ketcham is also the founding member of the Coalition of Continuous Improvement School Districts.
He has also made an impact on the community by serving on the Batesville Kiwanis, Batesville Area Arts Council, Batesville Community Education Foundation Board and is a sponsor of the BHS Key Club.
Ketcham also serves on the boards of the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents, Wilson Education Service Center and the Southeastern Career Center.
He will serve on the Governor's Workforce Cabinet through the end of 2025.
The governor also announced Brookville resident Jeff Tebbe has been appointed to the Brookville Lake Regional Waste District Board.
