Batesville woman accused of stealing at least $50K from employer

Fullenkamp was arrested on Friday

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Police have arrested a Batesville woman after an investigation began more than a year ago.

61-year-old Jennifer Fullenkamp is accused of stealing money while employed with Sheele Orthodontics in Batesville. 

Indiana State Police investigators say Fullenkamp operated a scheme where she encouraged patients to pay in cash for substantial discounts which was not authorized by Dr. Scheele. 

Police believe Fullenkamp would keep the cash and adjust the balance in the database. 

Investigators added that this happened over the course of several years and the alleged thefts are believed to be in excess of $50,000. 

Fullenkamp was arrested on Friday and has been charged with five felony counts related to theft and Corrupt Business Influence. 

She is in the Ripley County Jail and scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Monday afternoon. 

ISP investigators credit assistance from the FBI with the investigation.
