(BOSTON) – A 2018 Batesville High School graduate is part of an award-winning medical research team.

Their research was accepted by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and they were invited to present their findings at the APTA annual scientific conference in Boston.
Westerfeld’s work helped secure the award for Best Platform from the Academy of Pelvic Health.
After graduating from Batesville, Westerfeld earned her undergraduate from the University of Indianapolis and is now in the third year of her Doctorate.
She is the daughter of Cindy (Derek Santiago) and Brad Westerfeld (Sandy Westerfeld).
