Help her bring Christmas cheer to children
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- The mother of Brady Gabbard will bring Christmas joy to patients at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital this holiday season.
Jennifer Gabbard is collecting items to decorate the hospital rooms of children on the oncology floor.
"Christmas was Brady’s favorite holiday and because I no longer get to celebrate that with him or have him here, I chose to do a project to keep his memory alive in a way while helping the kids who are in a scary situation to bring a little Christmas cheer," Jennifer said.
Brady passed away after a short battle with cancer in July of 2021. He was a Lawrenceburg football player and would have been a high school senior this year.
Jennifer is collecting the following items: Mini Christmas Trees, Mini Lights, Window Clings, and anything Christmas ️related. All items must be new and battery powered.
She also wants to give bags to kids filled with crafts, Santa Hat, silly glasses and necklaces.
"Last year we had over 50 bags for each child. This is something I wanted to continue doing to remember Brady & to bring a smile to the kids and for the parents/siblings to have these memories with their children," Jennifer said.
