Happened on March 29

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) — A Brookville man was arrested after a police pursuit that began in Ripley County on Friday night.

Deputies say they pulled over 21-year-old Ethan Krier who then fled the scene.

The pursuit traveled through Versailles on U.S. 50 and into Dearborn County on West County Line Road.

Krier allegedly turned around and traveled back in Ripley County where Deputy Justin Linkel deployed a tire deflation device near the intersection of U.S. 50 and S.R. 101.

Deputies say Krier continued until he ran over another tire deflation device that was set out by Deputy Justin Bachelor near County Road 450 East.

The chase continued onto County Road 400 East until coming to a dead end.

Police say Krier than took off on foot and was later taken into custody in a wooded area nearby.

Krier was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement with a vehicle, Criminal Recklessness with a motor vehicle, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Krier also had active arrest warrants through Ripley and Dearborn County, police said.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by numerous agencies including ISP, Osgood Police, Holton Police, Aurora Police, Ripley County EMS, and Ripley County Communications.
