Greensburg fifth graders to perform Winnie The Pooh

Proceeds fund future musicals at Greensburg Elementary

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Greensburg Elementary fifth graders will present Winnie the Pooh Kids on Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27.

The thirty-minute family friendly musical will be presented at 7 p.m. each night at Greensburg Elementary School.

This nostalgic musical will bring you to the Hundred Acre Wood as you watch everyone’s favorite honey loving bear and his friends on their many adventures.

There are 37 fifth graders who have been practicing for their big debut since October.

They practice three days a week, and many of the songs and lines are memorized on their own time.

“All 37 of these kids have important parts. Some have lines, some have special choreography, some students make up the chorus that supports almost all of the musical numbers, and then many of them also have parts backstage with props and sets,” said music teacher Karen Matthews. “They all work together to make this a stellar show. They have blown us away with how hard they work, and we’ve had so much fun together!”

Tickets are already sold out for Friday while a few still remain for Saturday. You'll need to check with Greensburg Elementary's office on current availability.

All the proceeds go to fund future musicals at Greensburg Elementary.
