Current outages in Southeast Indiana

Hurricane Helene remnants causing high winds, rain Friday

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – There are more than 4,000 customers in Southeast Indiana without power as of 4:30 p.m. Friday. 


Ripley County has 1,340 Duke Energy customers without power. The majority are in the Versailles and Holton area.


In Decatur County, Duke Energy reports approximately 845 customers without power.


There are about 50 Duke Energy Customers without power in Dearborn County.


The lights appear to be back on Oldenburg as there were more than 600 homes and businesses without power earlier this afternoon. Duke Energy currently reports just 20 outages in Franklin County.


For SEI REMC customers, the company is currently reporting 1,500 outages. It was about 800 at 4 p.m., but that number has nearly doubled in the past half-hour with the what appears to be a new outage in the Canaan area, effecting more than 500 homes.

Decatur County REMC is currently reporting 536 homes and businesses currently without electric.
