DCCF recognizes couple for their volunteerism

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- The Decatur County Community Foundation (DCCF) is recognizing two people for the volunteerism in the community.

Doug Fry, and his late wife, JoAnn, were the recipients of the 2023 Stephen Decatur Award.

The couple was recognized for their involvement in the local chamber, hospital, country club, United Fund, library, Meals on Wheels, Hospice, Board of Health and DCCF.

The Stephen Decatur Award has been awarded to local volunteers since 2001. The presentation took place during DCCF's annual meeting.

DCCF also announced they have administered more than $286,000 in grants to 30 organizations in the past year, along with 104 scholarships.
