Fires in Manchester, Dillsboro on Tuesday
(MANCHESTER, Ind.) – A large house fire broke out just east of Manchester around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Lawrenceburg firefighters along with at least seven other agencies were on the scene for several hours.
Fire officials confirmed the home, which serves as an Airbnb, was a total loss.
Meantime, the tones were dropped for another incident at the same time.
It happened at the Maple Glen Apartments in Dillsboro. Crews from multiple departments responded and discovered smoke and flames coming from the building.
Due to assistance from neighboring departments, the blaze was extinguished quickly.
Dillsboro Fire Chief Jason Sullivan says mutual aid agreements between departments is how fires happening simultaneously can be fought effectively.
