Dillsboro family desperately searching for missing dogs

The family is offering a reward

(DILLSBORO, Ind.) – A Dillsboro family is hoping this story reaches someone who may have seen something or has any information.

Amy Watkins says her two dogs disappeared from their home on the afternoon of January 17.

The dogs were last seen at their home on South County Road 750 East, which is located near the Ripley and Dearborn County line.

“I am not sure if someone picked them up not knowing they aren’t strays, or if they are just lost and too far from home now,” Watkins told The 812.

For nearly two weeks, the family has driven around searching for the dogs, while placing signs and handing out flyers in the community.

“We even hired a thermal drone recovery company with no luck,” Watkins said.

Both dogs are German Shepherds.

Charlie is a neutered male that is black and tan. His ears stand up and he does not have a collar.

Vada is a spayed female with a green collar and her color is a mix of brown, black and tan. Her ears do not stand.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Watkins at (812) 614-7641. There is a reward offered.
