Following Friday storms
(SOUTHEAST INDIANA) – Thousands of Duke Energy customers lost electric for a period of time in Southeast Indiana Friday.
However, power seemed to be restored relatively quick throughout the evening.
Duke Energy says there were more than 70,000 homes and businesses in Indiana that lost electricity, and the majority of them have been restored.
“We made strong progress last evening and overnight, repairing broken poles and down power lines,” said Duke Energy Indiana President Stan Pinegar. “Our priority is always to restore service as quickly and safely as possible, and we appreciate our customers’ patience while we complete restoration.”
As of Saturday, Jefferson County has the most outages in our area with 108.
