Leads all of college football
(FRANKLIN, Ind.) – East Central graduate Eli Aston’s college football career is off to a tremendous start.
The freshman wide receiver is putting up big numbers for Mount St. Joseph University.
Aston leads the entire nation in receiving yards with 1,103 after eight games.
Those stats are for Division III, however, Aston also has more receiving yards than any other player in Division I or II football. He also has 50 receptions and 11 touchdowns.
The Lions beat Franklin College 46-43 on Saturday.
During the game, Aston broke the school’s single-season receiving record held by MSJ Hall-of-Famer Andy Wellendorf.
MSJ will travel back to Indiana this weekend where they will face Manchester.
