Both schools put rivalry aside for Hawaii victims
(ST. LEON, Ind.) -- East Central and Harrison High School are putting the rivalry aside to help victims of the wildfires in Maui, Hawaii.
Both schools will be collecting items to donate directly to people impacted by the wildfires.
East Central is starting their fundraiser Thursday while Harrison will start their fundraiser on Monday.
They are accepting infant supplies, paper products, personal hygiene and cases of bottled water.
They will also be accepting items from the public during the game in St. Leon on Friday, August 25.
This fundraiser was started by East Central Student Council.
