Family of Zach Hedges shares how you can honor him

Was killed in crash in West Harrison in August

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – The following story was submitted by the family of Zach Hedges who was killed in a car crash in West Harrison on August 16.

These are their words:

On August 16, 2024 our sweet son, Zach Hedges, was killed in a tragic, senseless, auto accident on his way to work. We mourn his loss every day and are still trying to piece our lives back together after this devasting event.

We will feel the emptiness of his presence for the rest of our lives.

When Zach was little his passions were pandas, Star Wars, Pokemon, visiting Disney World, and playing with his brother.

As he grew older, he discovered his love for soccer, video games, anime, and tattoos.

Zach loved his family, friends, and animals. He had a crazy sense of humor and brought happiness to our lives. He was silly, caring, and just beginning to start living his adult life.

To honor his memory and life, we would like to ask everyone who knew him, knew us, or was touched by the story of his short life to consider making a donation to:

Paws of Dearborn County

Ripley County Humane Society

Thank you, The Hedges Family
