A fundraiser has been launched to help family
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The family of a local teen killed in the West Harrison crash Friday is hoping the community can help them now.
17-year-old Reese Hayes died after her car collided with the vehicle of 22-year-old Zachary Hedges in West Harrison on Friday morning.
The crash happened near Shelton Fireworks in West Harrison shortly before 5 a.m. Friday.
Both Hayes and Hedges were pronounced dead at the scene.
Reece was a young mother who has a daughter that is only 15-months-old.
“She was a lifeguard at Hidden Valley Pool and always strived to do her best in all she did,” her family members said.
The family is also hoping to reach the family of Hedges.
“We want to say how sorry we are for both families in this tragic situation,” they said.
A Go Fund Me has been established for Reese Hayes. There is a fundraiser underway for Reese which you can learn more about by clicking here.
