FC Deputies have busy weekend on the roads

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Franklin County deputies didn’t get much of a break this past weekend.

They responded to nearly 80 calls for service between Friday night and Sunday evening.

Some of the incidents included the recovery of a stolen vehicle after a pursuit, three different battery or fighting calls, nine car crashes and 29 traffic stops.

There were six people arrested in separate incidents, the department added.

“Our Deputies rarely get noticed for the good work they do, and I’d like to praise them for stepping up and continuing to provide quality service to our community, with limited resources,” Chief Deputy Gregory Mehlbauer said.
