Had 30 saves in one game this week
(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- Franklin County's Liz Wendel has had a breakout season protecting the goal for the Lady Wildcats.
The junior recently broke the school's all-time season saves record during the sectional game against South Dearborn
The previous record was 177 and Wendel tallied 30 saves in the playoff game setting a new total of 206.
The 30 saves in the tournament game nearly tied the record of 31 saves held by former Wildcat Shelby Pearson.
Wendel finishes as the EAIC's first place saves leader and is 7th in the state for class 2A.
