Firefighters respond to barn fire in New Alsace

(NEW ALSACE, Ind.) – A pole barn caught fire near New Alsace around 8 p.m. Sunday.

The black smoke could be seen for miles and you could even smell the smoke in Sunman during the incident. 

Multiple fire departments responded and the fire was put out while firefighters confirmed with The 812 that nobody was hurt. 

It happened on a property on Schantz Road and crews from St. Leon, Manchester, Sunman were among those who responded.
