The photo book shows images captured right here in southern Indiana
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Many people in Batesville know Steve Glaser as the long-time doctor who served the community for 40 years.
Dr. Glaser also has another tremendous talent behind the lens of a camera.
He compiled photographs he's captured into the book called 'Everyday Miracles of Southern Indiana.'
"I really wanted to point out that there are amazing and beautiful things around this area," Dr. Glaser said. "Some that people may not recognize and I just wanted to demonstrate that in the book."
Here are photos taken by Dr. Glaser:
Dr. Glaser has teamed up with the Batesville Chapter of Phi Beta Psi Sorority to use profits from book for a good cause.
All proceeds from book sales will go to the Psi Beta Psi National Cancer Project.
"This money will be given to cancer research doctors to help with research. There is no one that gets paid in our organization or the doctors that are on our board," said Phi Beta Psi second vice president Lisa Haessig.
The book is available at several local businesses including The Bookshelf, Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, Bird In A Tree Boutique, Concepts Custom Framing, The Old Schubox, A Beautiful World, Carriage House Antiques, Amack's Well, all locations of George's Pharmacy as well as the Ripley County Chamber.
"It's a really nice gift to give to somebody who is hard to buy presents for. Also, a great idea for businesses to give to employees and clients, it is truly a beautiful book." Haessig said.
