(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- A Franklin County girl's soccer player is leading the entire state with 21 goals so far this season.

Madesyn Sunderhaus has also accumulated the most points of any girl's soccer player in Indiana with 46.

She is ranked second nationwide for most goals and third nationwide for most points.

Earlier this week, Sunderhaus broke the school record for most goals in a game with 6 and most offensive points with 14 against Rushville.

Sunderhaus is one of several Wildcats having an impressive year so far. Goaltender Liz Wendel is ranked fourth in the state for the most saves.

"Madesyn elevates the offensive players around her, while she is an outstanding individual player, she ignites the entire midfield and strikers to another level," said Franklin County head coach Cindy Adams.

"She has a strong desire to continue her soccer career in college despite not having and expensive club resume, she makes up for that in grit and determination. She is the type of player any coach wants to have," said Adams.

The Wildcats are 5-2-1 on the season and will host South Dearborn on Tuesday.
