(ST. LEON, Ind.) – A fundraiser is underway for an East Central student who found out he has a rare form of cancer just days before school let out.
17-year-old Tyler Darringer was diagnosed with Stage 4 Signet Ring Cell Adenocarcinoma on May 20.
Darringer just completed his junior year and also attends the Southeastern Career Center where he studies welding.
An account has been set up to help his family cover the much-needed medical expenses.
Visit any Civista Bank and ask for the “Tyler Darringer Fund” if you would like to help him and his family.
There is also a benefit jeep and side-by-side ride that has been scheduled for July 21 at Eight Top Grill in Guilford.
‘Tyler’s Ride’ starts at 12 p.m. and will also feature music from Craig Quick along with basket raffles, local vendors and meals served by Higher Ground and St. Leon Skyline.
