Fundraiser set for Sunman father needing transplants 

Will be held on Saturday

(GUILFORD, Ind.) – A local husband and father is battling stage 5 chronic kidney disease. 


Wally Gilbreath was first diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 22. He is now 38-years-old and in need of a pancreas and kidney transplant. 


“The days ahead will present many challenges, but there is one th8ing that we all know: Wally is an amazing person with tremendous strength and resolve and has a community pulling together for him,” .said his wife, Rachel. 


Eight Top Grill in Guilford is going to host a fundraiser this Saturday. There will be food, music, split the pot, raffle baskets, door prizes and more.


It takes place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on April 27. 


You can also make donations to help with medical funds by visiting any Civista Bank and asking for the “Wally Gilbreath Fund.”
