(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The City of Lawrenceburg is one step closer to the long-awaited Riverwalk project.
The floating park will feature two restaurants with public spaces for walking, gatherings and events. Personal boats and larger vessels will also be able to dock there.
“The enhanced Lawrenceburg Riverwalk on the Levee will feature a wide paved walkway with overhangs and plenty of space for pedestrians, cyclists, swings, and benches,” said Lawrenceburg communications director Guinevere Banschbach.
“Improvements to the end of Walnut Street will make the Lawrenceburg Riverwalk feel like a seamless extension of downtown,” she added.
Lawrenceburg Mayor Kelly Mollaun is expected to discuss the Riverwalk during the State of City address at 1 p.m. on February 16.
