GALLERY: Trucker rescued as semi dangles off bridge

(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – A semi crashed on a bridge between southern Indiana and Kentucky on Friday afternoon. 

It left the semi driver stranded in the cab as the semi dangled off the bridge over the Ohio River. 

Louisville firefighters had a daring rescue where they used a rope system to go from the bridge to the cab of the truck. 

The rescue reportedly took approximately 40 minutes. 

A firefighter was able to pull the truck driver from the semi to safety.
