GMS cross country head to state

Won EIAC for first time in school history

(GREENDALE, Ind.) – Greendale Middle School has had a tremendous cross country season. 


For the first time in school history, they won the EIAC Conference Championship on Monday. 


The school will also be well-represented at the Indiana Middle School Cross Country Championship this weekend. 


Five boys have qualified for the state championship and they are Coleman Hughes, Henry Gilliland, Miles Lightner, Brenden Wurtzler and Jude Noppert. 


To qualify, each runner had to complete a 3K in 12 minutes and 45 seconds. 


The Indiana Middle School Cross Country Championship will take place in Terre Haute on Saturday.
