First trip by Greensburg officials in more than a decade
(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- City of Greensburg officials have returned from a trade mission to Japan.
Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh and Decatur County Economic Development Director Bryan Robbins were part of the trip that was led by the South Central Indiana Economic Development Group.
It was the first time in more than 10 years that Greensburg leaders have been to Japan on a trade mission.
During the weeklong trip, Marsh and Robbins met with leadership of NIPRO, GECOM, Honda, and Resonac Powdered Metals America.
Their goal was to discuss the ongoing economic relationship between Greensburg and Japan and new potential opportunities for growth.
"To keep this bond strong, we must talk openly and continue to work together. By focusing on quality and innovation, we not only support our economic ties, but also show our commitment to excellence in manufacturing and industry," Marsh said.
"Let's use diplomacy to build bridges and face challenges together, ensuring that our continued relationship with Japan is a story of cooperation, respect, and a brighter future for all," the mayor added.
