Greensburg man killed in motorcycle crash

Mechanical issues may have caused crash

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Sunday evening.

According to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. in the 13000 block of S. US Highway 421.

44-year-old Craig Kroger has been identified as the driver of the motorcycle.

Kroger was rushed from the scene to Decatur County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The motorcycle may have been having mechanical issues as it was wobbling and was out of control, a witness told police.

The motorcycle later went off the side of the road and crashed into a mailbox.

Kroger was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, deputies said.

The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by Greensburg Police, Greensburg Fire, Decatur County EMS, Statflight 5, the Decatur County Coroner’s Office and Decatur County Communications.
