Greensburg native Welage has career night at IU

(BLOOMINGTON, Ind.) -- Greensburg gradate Andrew Welage had a career night close to home on Thursday.

Welage is a senior for Wright State and his team faced Indiana University in Bloomington.

The former Pirate scored a career-high 25 points and was also the game's leading scorer.

Welage hit seven out of nine three pointers which also marked a career best.

Despite his efforts, IU topped Wright State 89-80.

He averaged 21 points per game for the Pirates and reached the 1,000-point milestone as a junior.
