Greensburg Rotary donates life-saving AED's

Four AED's given out on Monday

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- The Greensburg Rotary Club is donating automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to four different locations in town.

The AED's will be placed at Shriver Field, the Decatur County Fairgrounds headquarters, the City Park and Pirate Park.

Greensburg football coach Wes Anderson, who also serves as the school's community development director, called the donation a huge addition.

"We have a lot of sports on our high school field, not just football, and for us to be able to save some important seconds in case something critical does happen is really important," said Anderson.

Greensburg Rotary president Robert DeHoff said he came up with the idea in 2022 and the club presented the life-saving tools on Monday.

The donation was made possible by a district grant and a local match.
