Hassmer House to close in May

Popular Versailles restaurant

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The popular Hassmer House Tavern and Inn will close next month.  

You can support the restaurant until it’s final day on May 19. 

Owners Rachel and David VanArtsdalen opened the restaurant in 2022 and hoped it would breathe new life into downtown Versailles. 

“We created this business with a vision to bring back the life and potential that we saw in Versailles while offering good quality food to the community. We weren’t from this area but you all welcomed us with open arms. And for that, we will always be eternally grateful,” Rachel and David said. 

Hassmer House will keep their associates employed to the final day. They are welcoming new customers until May 19.
