(HIDDEN VALLEY, Ind.) -- The crazy tradition of jumping in Hidden Valley Lake on New Years Day will mark the 30th anniversary on Monday.
The popular Polar Bear Dip will take place at 11:30 a.m. on New Years Day.
Hidden Valley resident Larry Michalec created the tradition back in 1994.
"He came from Wisconsin and jumping in the lake on New Year's Day was a tradition there," according to Echoes Weekly.
Polar Bear Dip organizers welcome people of all ages to take a frigid swim this January 1st.
