Human remains found along Whitewater River in West Harrison

Discovered in West Harrison Tuesday night

(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) -- Human remains were discovered along the Whitewater River in West Harrison on Tuesday night, police confirmed with The 812.

They were found on private property in the area of Pinhook Road, near North Dearborn Road.

Deputies responded to the report tonight and will return tomorrow to further investigate, Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry said.

The Dearborn County coroner told WLWT that the remains could be from the deadly flood along Wolf Creek Road near Brookville this summer.
