Been a busy season
(SUNMAN, Ind.) -- From community pools to splash pads, residents are finding ways to beat the heat during the higher-than-normal temperatures this week.
Local ice cream parlors are also experiencing an increase in demand.
B & G Dairy Bar owner Brian Kline says his Sunman shop has felt increase all season.
"By leaps and bounds this has been the busiest start to any season we've ever had," Kline said.
He estimates a 25 percent spike in sales from this point last year.
Kline isn't sure what attribute it to but hopes other ice cream businesses in Southeast Indiana are getting similar results this year.
We've had record days already several times this year already. Like some of our bigger days, like Mother's Day was 30 percent more than what it's ever been," he said.
