Proceeds benefit families that have a child born with a congenital defect.
(ST. LEON, Ind.) – The inaugural Theo’s Gift 5K Run/ Walk is scheduled to take place Saturday, October 19.
Theo Elwell was born last October with multiple defects. Despite the hardships he has endured, he continues to show his resilient smile time and time again.
“He has touched the hearts of many and has inspired us to bless other families navigating a similar path,” his family said.
Theo’s Gift is a non-profit that has recently been formed to raise money for families who are navigating the complexities of having a child born with a congenital defect.
“We know first-hand the difficulties not only of learning to care for their child but also balancing jobs, family time, hospital stays and much more,” the family added.
The 5K will also include a breakfast and a basket raffle and it will be held at the St. Leon American Legion. The breakfast is a free-will offering that is open to runners, walkers and anybody else.
It starts at 8:30 a.m. with the 5K and the pancake breakfast and basket raffle will follow at 9:30 a.m.
The legion is located at 28866 Post 464 Road in St. Leon.
