(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales was in Southeast Indiana Thursday.

Morales first stopped by the Decatur County Clerk's Office to meet with Clerk Janet Howell and her team.

"He especially thanked us for how our elections operate and spoke about the importance of the election process," the clerk's office said.

He then went to StoneBridge Trucking in New Point to meet with the freight expediting company that prides itself on the amount of military veterans they employ.

Morales also stopped by the Franklin County Clerk's Office to meet with Clerk Neysa Raible.

Diego Morales is Indiana's 63rd Secretary of State. He made history in 2022 as the first Latino elected to a statewide office in Indiana.
