(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – On Saturday, Aug. 3, the Indiana State Fairgrounds will pay tribute to The Beatles, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the group’s performance at the fairgrounds.
The Beatles took the stage twice on Sept. 3, 1964 at the Indiana State Fair Coliseum for over 29,000 guests total.
The setlist consisted of hits such as “Twist and Shout” and “Can’t Buy Me Love”.
The fairgrounds plans to commemorate the group’s visit to the fairgrounds with performances on the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage.
At 2 p.m., Hard Days Night: A Tribute to the Beatles will be performed, followed by Live & Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney at 7:30 p.m.
Along with Beatles themed stops around the fairgrounds, exclusive items will be available at the gift shop that feature the original show posters and ticket stubs from 1964.
