(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- The Indiana State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Ripley County Jail.
A 56-year-old female was found unconscious at the jail Monday. The Ripley County Sheriff's Office says CPR and medical attention was provided before she was pronounced dead. The identity of the person has not been released.
Ripley County Sheriff Rob Bradley requested an investigation by the Indiana State Police.
"Sheriff Bradley has directed all personnel of the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office to cooperate fully with the Indiana State Police investigation," the Sheriff's office said.
