Honors 3-year-old killed by distracted driver
(BRIGHT, Ind.) -- The 12th annual Jack's Forever 3 "Still Running" 5K will take place in Bright on Saturday.
The race was established after 3-year-old Jack Allen Carpenter was struck and killed by a distracted driver on North Dearborn Road in 2010.
The theme of this year’s race is “Still Running” because that’s what Jack loved to do," organizers said.
The race welcomes both serious runners and families. Kids will enjoy a kids corner with games and a fun run.
Jack’s Forever 3 “Still Running” 5k Run/Walk will start and finish at Bright Christian Church in Bright, IN. Bright Christian Church is located on State Line Road between Jamison Road and Sneakville Road.
The Jack's Forever 3 Foundation was established to promote driver awareness, after a tragedy as a result of a distracted driver. The Foundation is also dedicated to improving the lives of children in our community.
It begins at 9 a.m. Click here to learn more information and register for the event.
